Jess Kohl Solo Exhibition ANIME SALVE at Palazzo delle Arti Napoli
9 September 2020 • Lee Sharrock
Photographer and director Jess Kohl spoke to Lee Sharrock about her solo photographic exhibition with Collettivo Zero at Palzzo delle Arti in Naples.
Contemporary Photography is not specifically about photographs taken in the present day. Contemporary Photography is not the same as Modern Photography, the latter being photography of the recent past, whereas, if anything, Contemporary Photography points to the future.
Contemporary photography today now readily includes abstract, landscape, architectural, and even cameraless photography to name a few. Photo documentary and photojournalism are two sub-genres that are arguably the most popular as these depict image and subjects that are both pressing and in the now.
