Turner Prize-winning artist Mark Wallinger will unveil a series of playful, thought-provoking and previously unseen works in an exhibition opening at Jerwood Gallery, Hastings, England, this month.
Yet by way of a prize, perhaps it’s even better to win the mentor-plus-show package awarded by the Jerwood Painting Scholarships.
Currently showing at the Jerwood Gallery, Hastings until April 2015, here, in her own words, highly acclaimed contemporary figurative artist Chantal Joffe, gives us a unique insight into the inspiration and motivation behind her art practice:
