During 2008-12 London saw a recession and an apparently counter-cyclical increase in the number of contemporary galleries. Now, as we’re said to be emerging from our economic woes, galleries are closing.
Organised by Patch – a London-based curatorial collective (led by Katie Heller and Annabel Cary) – New British 2013 will transform the unique, four-storey Georgian town house of The Lloyds Club into an exhibition of the highest calibre of burgeoning new talent.
They shall be visiting: Pilar Corrias, Haunch of Venison, Modern Art, Josh Lilley, Nettie Horn, Rose Issa Projects and anything else along the way that takes their fancy….
Working in a classical sculptural lexicon, Dexter Dymoke’s practice explores the correlations and tensions between objects, materials and their engagement in space.
