In 1959, David Bailey embarked on his photography career as an assistant to renowned fashion photographer John French. By the onset of the 1960s, Bailey’s talent had already begun to shine. Securing a contract with Vogue magazine, he emerged as the quintessential chronicler of the era, capturing its essence through his lens.

Bailey’s pivotal works, including “David Bailey’s Box of Pin-Ups” (1965) and “Goodbye Baby and Amen” (1969), became iconic publications, defining the cultural shift of the decade.
