Climb inside a giant figure, de-stress in the dark, feast on femininity, escape a pink tower and sleep in a wheelbarrow.
This week – besides almost losing my passport whilst Spring cleaning – I lay on a very comfortable pink carpet at 180 The Strand and then took a train to Wakefield to feel the density of Anthony McCall’s solid light sculptures and lie down on luscious green grass in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
This week was once again filled with a series of events combining contemporary art and music, enhancing the beauty of each component.
I spent this Bank Holiday in the company of Joan Jonas, Wes Anderson and Ericka Beckman. All three shows revolved around the notion of craft, of devoting time to create props and sets.
Hayward Gallery + The Vinyl Factory present The Infinite Mix the gallery’s only major offsite exhibition during its two year refurbishment.
