Drawing on this cultural legacy of Kensington and Chelsea with Kensington + Chelsea Art Week. KCAW celebrates the rich heritage of the borough by opening doors to local creative spaces along with leading organisations in the area to facilitate further public engagement in the local culture.?

We managed to catch up with David Böhm and Jiri Franta who have produced for KCAW Public Art Trail an outdoor large-scale photo series of imaginary city models reflecting on the meaning of borders, neighbourhood, and how indivisible the current world is.

Eight artists have been commissioned to take over and transform some of West London’s empty high street retail spaces as part of a major public art initiative called high street windows.
This year’s Kensington + Chelsea Art Week will bring the Royal Borough to life with incredible public art during October. Highlights include the façade of the Coronet Theatre wrapped in embroidered poetry, empty retail spaces transformed with installations and colourful murals from local artists acknowledging Black Lives Matter, the COVID19 pandemic and paying tribute to the NHS.
