The Armory Show returns to Manhattan’s Piers 90 and 94 tomorrow Thursday 5th March, featuring 183 galleries from 32 countries and with 33 first-time exhibitors.
We got down to Armory yesterday at 11am and within the first half hr a few of the galleries had already sold out so we think it’s going to be a good year for sales. We had to get to Rose Bakery at Dover Street Market for a late lunch so speed around pretty quickly but we still had time to pick 16 artists we think are worth you checking out our favourite space was probably Platform and the Canard Bar where you can read our sister publication Art of Conversation while drinking Champagne v cool.
Its Armory Art Week in New York and there are a lot of-of exhibition openings and events as usually but this year two fairs are celebrating anniversaries and one fair has been postponed below is our pick of four fairs you need to go and see.
VOLTA NY has announced the participating artists in The Aesthetics of Matter, the third iteration of the critically acclaimed Curated Section — a thematic exhibition within the fair, organized by an independent curator — occurring at the fair’s eleventh edition in the city and fourth year at PIER 90

As The Armory Show continues to break new ground in the art world, it has joined forces with Paddle8 to bring the fair online for the first time in its fourteen year history.
