This weekend is your last chance to vist BIG DEAL No7 an amalgamation of imaginary ideas and processes related and created as a response to the genre of Science Fiction, this exhibition features; sculpture, photography, painting, film, video and audio installations by some 100 international artists and guest students from RCA.
Two completely different artists both from opposite side of the spectrum, material versus concept, have been exhibiting together for the last 5 years. Artists working together is nothing new. Van Gogh shared a studio with Gauguin in Arles, the south of France, or Picasso and Braque at the start of early Cubism in Paris. Sharing the experience of artmaking is still a very stimulating idea for artists.
In a funky exhibition curated by Cedric Cristie and Pascal Rousson, artists have been invited to look at what is transgressive in their work.
