The Serpentine reopens at 10am tomorrow, Tuesday 4 August, with Cao Fei: Blueprints.
Blueprints originally opened 4 March 2020 before COVID 19 temporarily closed the Serpentine Galleries. The exhibition will now run until 13 September 2020.
Cao Fei (born 1978, Guangzhou) is a multi-media artist and filmmaker based in Beijing. Video, digital media, photography and installation all play a role in the artist’s engagement with an age of rapid technological development. Cao Fei’s work is underpinned by an ongoing exploration of virtuality, how it has radically altered our perception of self and changed the way we understand reality.
Curated by Hou Hanru together with the curatorial and research teams of the museum, ‘The STREET. Where the world is made’ will transform the MAXXI into an intense and somewhat chaotic street scene.
