Jacky Tsai is a London-based multimedia Chinese artist, blending Eastern ideology with Western Pop art, creating alternative narratives. His works provoke viewers to reconsider intercultural relationships, finding harmony and tension in cultural representations. Tsai’s art spans various mediums, presenting past, present, and future tenses, emphasizing the passage of time.
His success in the digital art field earned him recognition as the first Asian artist to explore blockchain technology. Tsai’s kinetic artworks respond to live events, adding a dynamic element to his creations. In 2022, he received the “Artist of the Year” award from the Digital Art Fair in Hong Kong, marking his decade of artistic achievements.
Tsai’s exhibitions have been showcased worldwide in cities like London, Moscow, Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, and Shanghai. He had a retrospective exhibition at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) in 2018 and “Life·Fantasy” exhibition at Fosun Foundation Shanghai in 2022, his first major museum exhibition in mainland China. Upcoming exhibitions include The Museum of Contemporary Art & Planning Exhibition in Shenzhen, MOCA in Bangkok, and Fosun Foundation in Chengdu.
