Something For The Weekend: New Art Scenes, New Scandinavian Photography and Beautiful butterflies and flowers.

This weekend its all about the fairs in the East we have The London Art Book Fair at Whitechapel Gallery and in the West we have START art fair at The Saatchi Gallery. We suggest you do #LABF2015 on Saturday AND START on Sunday

If you head to The Whitechapel they have some special events over the weekend to compliment the book fair tomorrow Saturday at 2.30pm they have a special talk on New Scandinavian Photography with artists from the region which explores their photographic practices. Chaired by Behzad Farazollahi from MELK Gallery, with Bruno Ceschel from Self Publish Be Happy and artists Sveinn Fannar Jóhannsson, Thora Dolven Balke, Kristina Begtsson, and A.K Dolven.

And at 5pm the The White Review presents a reading and in conversation with Folio Prize-shortlisted novelist Rachel Cusk, prompted by its recently published fourteenth issue.

Rachel Cusk was born in 1967 and is the author of eight novels: Saving Agnes, which won the Whitbread First Novel Award, The Temporary, The Country Life, which won a Somerset Maugham Award, The Lucky Ones, which was shortlisted for the Whitbread Novel Award, In the Fold, Arlington Park, which was shortlisted for the Orange Prize, The Bradshaw Variations and Outline. Her non-fiction books are A Life’s Work, The Last Supper and Aftermath. In 2003 she was chosen as one of Granta‘s Best of Young Novelists.
