The Catlin Guide 2015 | New Artists in the UK Launching at The London Art Fair, 21st-25th January 2015
The much-anticipated sixth edition of The Catlin Guide will showcase the UK’s most talented new artists, compiled by curator Justin Hammond. Now established as an indispensable reference for followers of contemporary art, this limited edition annual publication highlights prevailing and future trends, and has become a collectable item in its own right.
Following an extensive tour of the most recent BA, MA and PG Dip final shows, Hammond conducts a series of artist interviews and consults with leading gallerists, curators, course tutors and collectors, before selecting 40 rising art stars.
This year’s exciting line-up includes painters Tina Jenkins (University of Reading), Oliver Hickmet (City and Guilds of London Art School) and James Tailor (The Cass); photographers Felicity Hammond (Royal College of Art), Dominic Hawgood (Royal College of Art) and Jon Baker (Chelsea College of Arts); and multi-media artists Dominic Watson (Glasgow School of Art) and Zhu Tian (Royal College of Art).
The Catlin Guide 2015 will be unveiled alongside work by a selection of featured artists at the London Art Fair 2015, with a limited number of free copies given away to visitors to the Catlin Guide stand, P25.
