With an ethos of investing in the artists of the future, DegreeArt have become pioneers in the online art world with their dedication to promoting the work of promising artists and connecting them to buyers in the UK and beyond.
DegreeArt, which has been established for almost 10 years, is re-launching their celebrated Signature Art Prize, inviting artists worldwide to enter this fresh and exciting competition, which not only recognises and rewards emerging artists, but also aims to highlight bright new talents in the art world.
The five winners will be awarded £1,000 in cash, representation with DegreeArt, future exhibition opportunities and artistic support, as well as gifts from sponsors of the Signature Art Prize.
Open to current students and artists who have graduated within the last three years, DegreeArt are searching for paramount talents in a wide range of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media. There is also a People’s Choice award, which will be awarded to the artist who is recognised by general public as having the most outstanding vision.
Currently the entry process is open until July 7th, and entrants are required to upload four images of their work, choosing one of those as their signature piece, which defines their themes and aesthetic as an artist and defines their body of work. Applications must be submitted online at www.signatureartprize.com
The esteemed judges have been announced, and out of the thousands of entries received, the judges will whittle the list down to a shortlist in each of our five categories. Those artists will be invited to exhibit their work at DegreeArt’s Signature Art Prize opening gala, which will be held in the historical Old Spitalfields Market in East London at the end of September, where for one night only a unforgettable gallery will be erected and the winners will be announced.
Following this there will be an extended two month exhibition at DegreeArt’s gallery space The Execution Room in the Vyner Street, East London, of all the artists who were shortlisted in the Prize.
