Santo Tolone: Three Times Once at Limoncello Art Opening Saturday 10th March 2012

Limoncello is to present ‘Three Times Once’, the first UK solo show of Italian artist Santo Tolone. The exhibition will showcase the artist’s practice through a selection of videos, silkscreens, sculptures and installations. Italian artist Santo Tolone will have his first solo show in the UK at Limoncello.

The exhibition, titled ‘Three Times Once’ includes a varied series of both new works as well as older and more recognisable elements of his practice. The gallery is pleased to announce and present for the first time in the UK the exhibition of Italian artist Santo Tolone. For this occasion some old and some new works will be presented for the first time.

The gallery will be closed for Easter from Thursday 5th Tuesday 10th April 2012.

About the Artist
Santo Tolone (b. 1979, Como, IT, based in London and Como) is studying for his MA Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, UK (2012). Recent and forthcoming shows include: Limoncello, London, UK (2012); Galerie QG, Salzinsel, LU (2008). Recent group shows include: ‘Two Times Once’, curated by Mr. Rossi, Limoncello, London, UK; ‘Arian De Rothschild Prize’, curated by Laura Barreca and Marcello Smarrelli, Palazzo Reale, Milan, IT (2011); ‘Men With Balls: The Art of the 2010 World Cup’, curated by Simon Critchley, Apexart, New York, USA; ‘21x21x21 Artist x Il 21 Secolo’, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudeng, IT; ‘Si-Sindrome Italiana’, Le Magazin Centre National d’Art Contemporain, FR (All 2010). He has been practicing as a solo artist for only 2 years. Previous to this he worked collaboratively under the names Mr. Rossi (6 Italian artists and Ryan Gander), and as a couple as Santomatteo.
