Es Devlin is an internationally acclaimed artist and stage designer whose immersive installations, kinetic sculptures and large-scale performances explore the relationship between light, language, music and collective experience. Working at the intersection of art, architecture and technology, Devlin creates transformative environments that combine sculpture, projection, sound and moving image, inviting audiences to reflect on identity, memory and the ways we connect with one another. Originally trained in theatre design, Devlin has collaborated with some of the world’s leading musicians, cultural institutions and performing arts organisations, creating stage designs for artists including Beyoncé, U2, Adele, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, as well as productions for the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre. Alongside these collaborations, her independent artworks investigate themes of ecology, literature, language and the climate crisis, often using mirrored forms, kinetic structures and participatory elements to encourage reflection and dialogue.
