David Hockney has died aged 88, his influence on contemporary art is immeasurable.
David Hockney (born 9 July 1937) is an English painter, printmaker, stage designer and photographer. His visual wit and panache are evident in all his artworks, and his openness has led him to experiment with many media, although he may be best known for his photo collages and Los Angeles-inspired paintings. He is considered one of the most influential, original and versatile British artists of the twentieth century.
