Curated and designed by Rei Kawakubo, Georgia O’Keeffe by Comme des Garçons takes over the metal pillars of Dover Street Market Paris’ courtyard, bringing the work of the visionary American artist into conversation with the architecture of the space.

This is the fourth courtyard installation by Kawakubo at DSMP, following Paolo Roversi for and by Comme des Garçons, Pirosmani by Comme des Garçons, and I had this vision of a world where I could breathe deeply. For this iteration, the pillars are wrapped in black-and-white photographs from the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum archives – some taken by O’Keeffe herself – overlaid with depictions of some of her most striking artworks.

Comme des Garçons presents three or four major installations a year on or around the metal pillars of Dover Street Market Paris’s courtyard, punctuated by either breathing spaces or smaller exhibitions.
