Sutton Tower’s next collaboration, residency & penthouse exhibition is with the artist Stacie McCormick.
McCormick, a versatile artist known for her captivating large-scale paintings, will be showcasing her latest collection entitled “Infinite,” marking the beginning of a residency at Sutton Tower. The penthouse of Sutton Tower will serve as the backdrop for over 25 of McCormick’s breathtaking paintings, offering a rare glimpse into her creative process and the evolution of her work.
The collaboration traces back to developer Van Nguyen’s enchantment with McCormick’s art during her solo exhibition in St. Tropez last summer. Inspired by her talent and vision, Nguyen embarked on a mission to bring McCormick’s art to Sutton Tower, culminating in the Infinite exhibition as well as residency.
McCormick’s selection for this prestigious residency is a testament to her significant contributions to the art community. As the founder of a non-profit gallery space in west London, she has championed hundreds of artists through mentorship, residencies, exhibitions, and grants. Her dedication to supporting fellow artists is further underscored by her role as chair of A-N Artists Information Company and her position on the world executive committee of UNESCO International Association Arts. McCormick is also the visionary behind Fair Art Fair, an app-based destination to discover artists.

About the artist
Multi-disciplinary artist Stacie McCormick is Los Angeles-born and London-based. Creating paintings primarily on canvas and paper, producing works that are abstract & gestural. Using ink, acrylic and oil, her paintings are often referred to as hypnotic, meditative, powerfully calming, calligraphic and beautiful. Stacie has a daily practice of rehearsing her gesture in preparation for larger paintings resulting in a strong portfolio of works on paper. The appearance of spontaneity is rigorously studied, a result of over 30 years of work – ‘training’ her gesture. She earned her Masters in Fine Art from City & Guilds of London Art School and runs the non-profit art initiative Workshop Foundation, started in the US in 2009 and now based London since 2015. Stacie has a remarkable commitment to fellow artists, having sponsored over 120 artists and curators by providing space and time through residency and exhibition programmes.
