Beuys 100, a unique Contemporary Art and Editions sale this June commemorating the 100th birthday of Joseph Beuys

Phillips has announced Beuys 100, a unique Contemporary Art and Editions sale this June commemorating the 100th birthday of Joseph Beuys. Featuring a broad spectrum of rare to market works Beuys 100 celebrates Beuys’ full range of techniques by including collages, prints, photographs, drawings, and most notably the artist’s vast range of editioned objects. Leading the sale is Beuys’ 1969 wooden Sled, an emergency survival kit which directly relates to Beuys’ own dramatic plane crash in the snow and subsequent rescue during the Second World War.The sale on 10 June presents a curated selection of works which commemorate the life and achievements of Joseph Beuys.

Signed and numbered 93/200 in pencil on one sheet (an edition of 200 was planned, only approximately 150 were realised, and 100 of those signed and numbered), co-published by Bruno Corà and Edizioni Lucrezia De Domizio, Pescara, both unframed.
