Memory & Failure Study Group

An informal afternoon of presentations and group discussion led by Andrew Brown, Maria Teresa Ortoleva and Alexandra Gbedemah. The session will present ideas around memory and failure including contemporary sites of ruination post 2008, art practices that engage with sites of dereliction, images of the mind, mnemonic images and short texts by Robert Smithson, Brian Dillon and Henri Bergson.

Sunday Family Workshop

In this workshop influenced by fairy tales, make believe and fantasy, join artist educator Nicola Pomery to transform the Education Room into a collective playhouse. Families will intuitively construct and convert materials into strange environments, absurd shelters and make-shift caves. Feel free to bring tents and camping gear from home!
