Showcase Platform for Young Artists Thomas Gänszler & Elisabeth Wedenig

This exhibition is organized and presented by the Vienna-based Plattform fu?r junge Kunst – Bäckerstrasse 4. The platform was founded by Gabriele Schober with the intention of giving young artists an opportunity to present their work and to engage with industry leaders. The two artists exhibiting at the ACF were selected by a panel which included Andrew Renton, Director of Curating at Goldsmiths. The panel chose 5 finalists of which two, Thomas Gänszler and Elisabeth Wedenig, will present their work in London. Thomas Gänszler was born in 1982 in Vienna. He studied at the University of Vienna and the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. He has exhibited throughout Austria including MAK Vienna and the Museumsquartier. Elisabeth Wedenig completed studies at the Art Academy in Riga and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She has exhibited in Austria and central Europe including Kunstprojekt, Berlin, Ptuj, Slovenia and MAK Vienna.
