Helen Beard (b. 1971, Birmingham, UK) works with bold colour and unapologetic intimacy to reclaim the language of desire. Using collage, painting, and embroidery, she translates erotic imagery into vivid fields of form and tone—abstracting the body until it hums with energy rather than voyeurism. Her compositions, saturated in reds, blues, and pinks, blur pleasure and power, challenging who gets to look and be seen. Rooted in the everyday yet defiantly sensual, Beard’s work celebrates the body as both subject and landscape.
