We got down to Armory yesterday at 11am and within the first half hr a few of the galleries had already sold out so we think it’s going to be a good year for sales. We had to get to Rose Bakery at Dover Street Market for a late lunch so speed around pretty quickly but we still had time to pick 16 artists we think are worth you checking out our favourite space was probably Platform and the Canard Bar where you can read our sister publication Art of Conversation while drinking Champagne v cool.
This week at the Armory Show, we will be presenting a programme of talks and events in collaboration with ArtReview Asia in the VIP Lounge, where you can get up close and personal with some of China’s emerging generation of artists.
Rafel Rozendaal’s ‘Everything You See Is in the Past’ on until 18th of January @Postmasters Gallery in NYC
The Dutch- Brazilian artist Rafaël Rozendaal will present several of his websites as largescale projections and a group of unique lenticular paintings which he began in 2012. “Art can’t be defined. Try it. It can’t be done. We all kind of know what it is but no one really knows. Noone really knows what happiness is either. The moment you know it, you’re not really happy. When you’re really happy, you’re not thinking about happiness.”- Rafel Rozendall
