Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will play a one-off concert in Brighton this Friday 31st July 2026, with support from four very special guests: The Flaming Lips, English Teacher, Cate Le Bon and Warmduscher. The performance in Preston Park will be their only UK show of 2026.
Brighton resident Nick Cave has drawn inspiration from the city for many of his songs, lyrics, and films, and his adopted hometown is deeply woven into the history of the Bad Seeds. Cave’s connection to the city is woven into his art, and his performance in Preston Park looks set to be a historical musical moment for Brighton.
“I am thrilled beyond words to return to my beloved Brighton with The Bad Seeds to play Preston Park. It’s a homecoming! It’s going to be big, bad and beautiful. An epic show!!!”

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Brighton show follows the release of Wild God, the critically acclaimed top-10 UK album released in 2025. Wild God inspired a sold-out European Tour, which was a musical highlight of 2024.

An exclusive Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds limited edition 10? Jubilee Street picture disc has been created exclusively for the Brighton Preston Park show, as part of a merchandise collection celebrating the band’s homecoming show. The collection showcases a Brighton seaside design. The vinyl is only available at the Preston Park show or at independent record store Resident, which will open at 9AM on 30th July for fans who want to get their hands on the vinyl. The picture disc includes Jubilee Street (original Push The Sky Away album version) and a new live version recorded on the band’s 2024/ 2025 Wild God tour.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will take over Resident from 30th July to 2nd August, as part of a series of activities in Brighton, including a merch pop-up and a special post box where fans can send physical letters to Nick Cave’s The Red Hand Files.
During the show weekend, Nick Cave will also take over Brighton’s Duke Of York’s Cinema for a series of curated screenings, featuring five films which have inspired and defined Cave’s songwriting, each with a recorded introduction by Cave himself.
