Harmony Korine’s EDGLRD has teamed up with Converse to push the Chuck 70 into unfamiliar territory, transforming the classic silhouette through distorted graphics, mutated mythology and a visual language that sits somewhere between the real and surreal.

The new Converse x EDGLRD collection comprises two styles, the Chuck 70 Hi and Chuck 70 Ox, both treated as continuous canvases for EDGLRD’s original imagery. Digitally printed graphics spread across heavyweight canvas uppers and extend onto the midsoles, disrupting the familiar shape while retaining the construction of the original shoe.

Founded by Korine in Miami, EDGLRD operates across film, design, technology and digital storytelling, bringing together a network of creators to develop multi-format projects rooted in experimentation. The studio’s work moves between high art and technology, treating creativity as an evolving system rather than a fixed medium.
That approach runs through the collaboration, which uses distortion and layered imagery to reframe one of Converse’s most recognisable designs. The graphics wrap across the shoes rather than sitting as isolated motifs, giving both versions a deliberately untethered visual identity.
Classic Converse details remain as an anchor, with co-branded All Star patches, license plates and insoles marking the collaboration throughout.

For Korine, whose recent work has increasingly blurred cinema, gaming, AI, art and digital image-making, the project extends EDGLRD’s visual universe into another format. The result is less a conventional sneaker collaboration than another surface for the studio’s ongoing experiments with altered realities.

The Converse x EDGLRD Chuck 70 Hi,
priced at $100, and Chuck 70 Ox, priced
