Victoria Miro has announced the launch of LIVE / ARCHIVE, an innovative platform designed to bring the gallery’s programmes to audiences worldwide. Powered by Vortic and utilising 3D, AR, and VR, this initiative makes Victoria Miro the first gallery to integrate these new technologies across its whole programme, including an extensive archive of exhibitions.

Walk through the gallery’s exhibitions, launched alongside our physical shows in London and Venice.
Take an immersive journey through exceptional historical exhibitions featuring renowned artists such as Paula Rego, Alice Neel, Grayson Perry, and Flora Yukhnovich, from our expanding ‘living archive’ that will evolve with technological advances.
Discover emerging talent through virtual exhibitions by invited artists on Miro Presents.
Experience innovative works created with the latest digital technologies by artists including Doug Aitken and Eric Fischl.
Engage further with exclusive artist interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and curatorial insights.
‘LIVE / ARCHIVE represents a leap forward in how art is experienced in the digital age,’
said Oliver Miro, Partner at Victoria Miro.
‘We’re excited to be at the forefront of adopting new technologies that not only expand our reach but also significantly reduce carbon emissions associated with traditional art viewing. LIVE / ARCHIVE allows us to share our exhibitions with a global audience, breaking down geographical barriers and opening new avenues for artistic engagement from anywhere in the world. What’s more, the platform will adapt and grow alongside technological advancements and evolving audience expectations, meaning the gallery’s archives will automatically upgrade over time.’
At the time of launch, the past five years of the gallery’s programming will be available to access as virtual exhibitions and, moving forward, all exhibitions will launch on LIVE / ARCHIVE, in tandem with their physical openings in the gallery’s spaces in London and Venice.

About Victoria Miro
Victoria Miro has been instrumental in nurturing the careers of some of the most significant contemporary artists of our time, while consistently providing long-term representation for an extensive and diverse international cohort of artists. Over the past four decades, the gallery has distinguished itself as a leading voice in the contemporary art world, presenting groundbreaking and original exhibitions that encompass a wide range of media and genres.
Victoria Miro first opened her gallery in Cork Street, Mayfair, in 1985 and currently represents 43 artists and artist estates. In 2000 Victoria Miro relocated to its current premises, a sensitively converted, former furniture factory in North London. In October 2006 the gallery expanded further by opening a second exhibition and viewing space in an adjoining building uniquely connected by a waterside sculpture garden. Victoria Miro remains one of London’s largest commercial gallery spaces. In 2017, the gallery expanded its international footprint with the opening of a third location in Venice where, alongside a dynamic exhibition programme, the gallery hosts an ongoing series of artists residencies in its Venice studio.
Miro Presents, led by Oliver Miro, is an ongoing programmatic strand of the gallery that highlights the work of invited artists through solo presentations, curated exhibitions, artists’ residencies, and commissions, within both the physical and virtual spaces of the gallery.
Beyond the gallery walls, audiences can connect at any time globally through our new LIVE / ARCHIVE platform. Advancing use of new technologies, the gallery is at the forefront in pioneering new ways of presenting and experiencing art, always with the creative ambitions of artists as its guiding principle.
