Pussy Riot‘s Nadya Tolokonnikova has launched a new Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), UkraineDAO, to raise funds for Ukrainians. Tolokonnikova launched the organisation in partnership with FreeRossDAO’s Alona, PleasrDAO’s CryptoStIvI, and Trippy from Trippy Labs. The partnership will also help bring the communities of each of the DAOs together.
“Our goal is to raise funds to donate to Ukrainian civilian organizations who help those suffering from the war that Putin started in Ukraine,”

UkraineDAO to raise funds for Ukrainians
Together with the others, Tolokonnikova dropped an NFT at 12 pm on Saturday to raise funds for Ukrainians hit by the war. UkraineDAO’s drop features a 1/1 NFT of the Ukrainian flag. In addition, the organisation has launched a PartyBid tool that allows groups of people to collectively bid on the NFT and get fractionalised ownership of the NFT.
“We purposefully avoided adding our own art to this release, in a way it’s our strong conceptual artistic statement. People can have different aesthetics, but it’s not about what color we prefer, it’s about uniting to save lives. The Ukrainian flag unites us.”
