“CUTTING ROOM FLOOR” is a new exhibition by Off-White and Louis Vuitton Men’s Artistic Director VIRGIL ABLOH. Providing a never-before-seen view into the artist’s inner workings.
“CUTTING ROOM FLOOR” is comprised of a 1:1 recreation of Abloh’s home studio, the entire contents of which have been excised and transplanted into the ground level of SSENSE Montréal. Probing the increasingly murky waters between art and commerce, branded ‘facsimiles’ of the items contained in the exhibition – ranging from the banal (shoe boxes, a green crayon, a deodorant stick) to the remarkable (notes, sketches, and other artifacts) – are offered for sale as limited edition multiples and made available both online and at SSENSE Montréal.
