Makita the tool maker just made a great looking coffee maker.

We love Makita the tool maker’s new rugged coffee maker the CM501D that runs on battery power and looks just like a drill. It’s powered by the same lithium-ion batteries as cordless screwdrivers and drills the Makita make.

The CM501D can make a maximum of 5.3 cups of coffee on one18V battery pack charge. Makita’s first coffee maker went on sale in 2015, gaining popularity because the same types of batteries used in its power tools also work in the coffee machine. The coffee maker is available in Japan and costs about 11,900 yen excluding tax.
