FAD caught up with London gallery New Art Projects ahead of their showing of Berlin based American artist Laura Bruce at VOLTA NY.

1 Is this your first time at Volta NY? And if it is why are you doing it?
Actually it is the first time I have shown an artist at Volta New York for a while, but I have been before. I love the solo show format and I LOVE the venue on the Piers
2 Who are you showing and what will they be presenting?
I am showing an American Artist called Laura Bruce, what is fascinating is that for the last 15 years she has lived and worked in Berlin, so in many ways her practice is a revelation in New York!
We are showing her large drawings, her paintings and two amazing sculptures on our booth so you really will get the whole picture.

3 How long has it taken to plan /put together a stand for Volta?
Call me old fashioned, but I made a model of the booth and worked closely with Laura on the selection of the work, her pieces hang together beautifully and she is flying out to install it with me.
4 What will be success for you?
It will be such a pleasure to introduce Lauras work to our clients and to see all the curators and friends we value so much, I love Armory week as it is just so electric!
5 Will you be going anywhere else when in New York?
I imagine that a perfect New York Martini will be in order and both Laura and I love a dance! Have you heard that TT The Artist is playing the Volta Party? Excited!
