This free fair at the Whitechapel Gallery presents the best in international contemporary art publishing. Browse beautiful artists’ books, rare art publications and catalogues from over 80 publishers. Enjoy a packed programme of talks and events, get involved in workshops on print and bookmaking and have your books signed by leading artists and authors.
Over the weekend:
Onestar press/Three Star Books will be presenting a special installation of works from their on-going bookshelves project; designs by Lawrence Weiner and Gabriel Kuri play host to the publishers’ most recent titles. The installation will also include a lamp by Simon Starling, a new print by Tauba Auerbach, and posters by Kuri.
Visit Unbinding the Book, a showcase of exciting possibilities for book design of the future, presented by self-publishing platform Blurb and creative studio Jotta.
Explore the phenomenon of artist novels from the collection of David Moroto and Joanna Zielinska of Book Lovers who will present a curated selection for the Fair.
