For two weeks only, the National Trust is opening Flat 130 in Ernö Goldfinger’s Brutalist Balfron Tower, Poplar, to the public. Flat 130 is where Goldfinger himself lived for 2 months in 1968, to prove the desirability of high-rise living. National Trust London seek to draw attention to special places that are part of the history of London and undoubtedly the iconic Balfron Tower is one such place.
Furnished in the style of a 1968 council flat by Wayne and Tilly Hemingway.

This ‘pop-up’ property will be open from Wednesday 1st – Sunday 12th October 2014.
