?Modern Art is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of clay sculpture by Anna-Bella Papp. This is her first solo exhibition. Anna-Bella Papp makes delicate tablet-like reliefs, sculpted by hand in unfired clay. Her work is shown flat on a table, or hung on the wall.
Anna-Bella Papp was born in Chi?ineu-Cri?, Romania, in 1988. She studied at the University of Art and Design, Cluj, Romania, 2007-2010, and de Ateliers, Amsterdam, Netherlands, 2011-2013.
Mark Westall has spent over thirty years creating platforms for culture. Since founding FAD Magazine in 2006, he's dedicated his career to documenting, championing and questioning contemporary art through publishing, criticism and conversation. As founder and editorial director of one of the UK's leading independent contemporary art publications, he has interviewed artists, reviewed exhibitions and covered the ideas shaping contemporary visual culture for more than two decades. He also founded Art of Conversation, Despoke and FAD Bazaar, and regularly serves as a judge for international art and photography awards.
In a solo exhibition of the celebrated Patrick Caulfield (b. 1936 – d. 2005), Waddington Custot will look deeper at the artist’s practice across a variety of media, from oil painting to prints and his lesser-known and rarely exhibited drawings, with particular attention to Caulfield’s preoccupation with light and shade across various times of day.
