Last month I was invited to visit the venue for burn Yard™ Live’s inaugural event, taking place in Budapest on July 26th, 2013. The two-day trip kicked off with a visit to an old Train Yard, along with street artist M-City, where inspiration for the final event was being gathered. burn Yard’s chosen event space is a dilapidated market hall a short drive outside the city. The large abandoned building is to be transformed by M-City, conceptual artist Gerry Judah and skateboarder Rune Glifberg. Judah will be designing a skateable sculpture for Rune to showcase his legendary skills, all against the backdrop of M-City’s instantly recognisable industrial street art. The event will be open to the public and will reveal the decrepit building in a new light. You can read all about my trip here.
