I’m heading down to Spitafields Market tonight which is the venue for The 2012 Signature Art Prize Gala Ceremony .
Preparations are underway to create a remarkable evening gala for the finalists and semi-finalists to showcase their signature pieces tonight.
A month or so ago myself and Marissa Cox from Art Wednesday , Chris Pensa from Love Art London , Curator Ryan Lanji and Amira Hashish from The Evening Standard whittled down the 500 entries to 40 finalists in four disciplines painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media and tonight the overall winner will be announced VERY EXCITING !!!

Old Spitalfields market is one of the most historical landmarkts in East London, and on the evening of the prize announcements the inner market will be transformed into an unforgettable art gallery for one night only.
A market since the 1600’s, Old Spitalfields market has been the epicenter of East London culture. Popular for fashion, food, and vintage the market is open seven days a week, and on 25th September will play host of the 2012 Siganture Art Prize opening gala.
