PLUS all the galleries in Peckham are open this evening for the very special inauguration of PAMI the new Peckham Artists’ Moving Image Festival. PAMI is an initiative to highlight moving image artwork made by an international selection of artists in a concentrated four-day programme of exhibitions and events across Peckham. As part of PAMI we will be screening Agnes Martin’s 1976 film Gabriel on Saturday 17th September 2011, at 1.30 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to see this work by one of Twentieth Century’s foremost abstract painters.
