With the growing use of social media in our daily lives, theprintspace will enter new territories by showcasing – for the first time – a range of fascinating photography compiled through monthly Facebook competitions and a Flickr group. All the photographs have been chosen by acclaimed photographer and photojournalist judges, over the last year.
SoShowMe will provide a platform in the heart of buzzing Shoreditch to photographers who don’t usually have the chance to exhibit their work. Featuring a wide range of fantastic photography, with themes such as light, documentary, portraiture and landscapes, the exhibition is an exciting and colourful celebration of social media from photographers all over the world.
theprintspace’s Max Munton said, “Social media has provided a great way for the sharing and discussion of photography, provoking passionate live debate and opinion. theprintspace gallery replicates that online network with its unique environment for photography and art lovers to meet.”
SoShowMe opens at theprintspace gallery at 74 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch on Thursday, 2nd September from 7pm-10pm with drinks provided. The exhibition then continues from 3rd-15th September, Monday-Friday 9am-7pm. Admission free.
