FKA twigs (Tahliah Debrett Barnett, b. 1988, Cheltenham, UK) is a British singer, songwriter, dancer and visual artist known for experimental music that blends electronic production, R&B, performance art and film. FKA twigs creates work that explores identity, intimacy, technology and the body, positioning her at the intersection of music, contemporary art and digital culture.
Her albums, including LP1, MAGDALENE and CAPRISONGS, combine intricate production with emotionally charged songwriting and highly conceptual visual worlds. FKA twigs is also recognised for her choreography, performance pieces and cinematic music videos, which draw on fashion, movement and multimedia installation. Her practice frequently addresses themes of femininity, vulnerability and transformation through immersive visual storytelling.
FKA twigs has collaborated with artists, filmmakers and designers across disciplines, expanding her work beyond music into contemporary art spaces and live performance contexts. Her interdisciplinary practice has made FKA twigs one of the most influential cultural figures working across music, performance and visual art today.
