Nuanu Creative City has announced the launch of Art & Bali 2025, the island’s first-of-its-kind international art fair, set to take place on 12th – 14th September 2025.
As the global art world navigates an era of contrasting ideas, where narratives intersect between tradition and modernity, nature and technology, human and artificial intelligence – Art & Bali is aimining to Bridge Dichotomies, creating a bridge between global artistic expression and the island’s rich cultural landscape.
As an island which attracted 6.3 million international visitors in 2024 alone, Bali’s natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and strong international appeal make it the ideal setting for an art fair that connects local and global art communities.
“At Nuanu, our commitment to art extends beyond exhibition and education—it’s about creating a lasting ecosystem that supports artists, engages audiences, and pushes creative boundaries,”
said Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu Creative City.
“Art & Bali is a natural extension of this vision, embracing communities, innovation, and the fusion of nature with digital art. The future of art isn’t just in white cube galleries—it’s in spaces that integrate creativity with the environment, and that’s exactly what we’re building.”
With Project Director Kelsang Dolma at the helm bringing with her a decade of experience working with the likes of India’s Serendipity Arts Festival, Saffron Art and the Indian Ceramics Triennale, Art & Bali will take over five distinct venues within Nuanu Creative City. From exhibition spaces, to immersive installations, and sustainable architecture, Art & Bali will be an art fair unlike any other. Designed to resonate with both seasoned collectors and cultural travelers, Art & Bali provides a new must-visit experience for Bali’s millions of international visitors while reinforcing the island’s role as a premier hub for creativity and innovation.
At its core, Art & Bali is committed to cementing Indonesian contemporary art on the global stage, providing a platform for emerging and established Indonesian artists to connect with international collectors, curators, galleries, and industry leaders. The fair also embraces the diversity of global creativity, bringing together artists, collectors, and institutions from across Southeast Asia and beyond.
“Art & Bali is a fresh approach to what an art fair can be, rooted in Bali’s cultural heritage while embracing contemporary and innovative practices. The ‘&’ symbolises connection, much like our theme, Bridging Dichotomies, which reflects our vision to foster deeper ties between Southeast Asia, Indonesia, and Bali’s artistic heritage with the global art scene. It is about people-to-people connections, bringing together artists, collectors, institutions, and industry leaders to create a truly global art community,”
said Kelsang Dolma, Project Director, Art & Bali.
