Cj Hendry has unveiled her first-ever collectible toy series, juju, in partnership with Phillips at Phillips’ Asia Headquarters in the West Kowloon Cultural District.
An immersive pink environment inspired by a surreal supermarket complete with plush foam floors, towering juju sculptures, and vivid vinyl walls, a signature Hendry transformation that blurred the boundaries between fine art and pop culture. Center stage stood the juju Edition Sculpture, a handcrafted limited-edition vinyl work presented in bespoke wooden boxes, surrounded by the debut collection of collectible bag charms, each concealed in blind boxes and produced in 24 playful colorways.
The Hong Kong debut marks Hendry’s third major project in the city, following her Complimentary Colors collaboration with Christian Louboutin at Art Basel and the Summer Pool Party at IFC Mall.

About the artist
CJ Hendry (b. 1988, Australia) is known for her hyper-detailed, photoreal drawings that turn everyday objects into seductive, sculptural icons. Working primarily in pencil, pen and marker, she renders materials—latex, leather, glass, fabric—with extreme precision, pushing representation to a point where texture becomes almost tactile. Her works often expand into immersive installations that blur fine art, design and spectacle, transforming exhibition spaces into meticulously staged environments.
Hendry’s practice thrives on the tension between discipline and play: rigorous, hours-long drawing processes animated by bold, often irreverent subjects pulled from luxury culture, consumerism and the mythologies of taste. Through scale, surface and an intuitive sense of drama, she reimagines the familiar as something heightened and uncanny, inviting viewers into a world where detail becomes its own form of excess.
