On Board with Rankin brings a fresh lens to the world of cruising, charting its transformation through a series of portraits and moments. Created in collaboration with P&O Cruises for its newest ship, Arvia, the exhibition captures the energy, style, and spirit that define contemporary life at sea.
As Rankin commented,
“This isn’t a cruise as you once knew it. This is travel with depth, design and personality.
“This project is about freedom. Real people enjoying a truly elevated experience,” says Rankin. “It’s
about stepping onto a ship that feels more like a boutique resort. Sophisticated, spacious and full of
surprises. You make it your own.”
From celebrated performers such as Layton Williams to culinary icon Marco Pierre White, and the
guests who bring every journey to life, the photographic series blends documentary with fashion
photography, offering a visual story that’s vibrant, cinematic and full of character.
“I wanted to capture that anticipation and energy of a P&O Cruises holiday,”
Rankin continues.
“You’re out at sea, the horizon is wide open and your day could be anything you want it to be. Spa
mornings, fine dining, contemporary theatre or quiet time with a book by the infinity pool. It’s that
sense of possibility. “
