Highlights
At the heart of Attention, Fragile! lies skateboarding, inspired by the recent release of Skateboard Culture by Morgan Bouvant and Sébastien Carayol. The book, the most comprehensive work ever published on the subject, traces the evolution of the sport through key moments in its history. From its origins as a rebellious subculture to its emergence as a global cultural force, skateboarding has become a powerful influence on fashion, design, and music. It challenges and blurs the lines between tradition and modernity, exclusivity and accessibility. For Sarah Andelman, skateboarding serves as a rich source of creative inspiration.
A harmonious clash of opposites, a hallmark of Andelman’s practice, the pieces will be presented alongside a selection of Sotheby’s watches, jewellery and handbags, all available for immediate purchase.
Raphaël Zarka is a prominent figure within the skateboarding community, known for creating numerous artworks as well as three insightful studies on the subject. His focus is not on the cultural aspects of skateboarding, but rather on its technical, economic, and ethical dimensions. Zarka’s work explores skateboarding through both technical and philosophical lenses, engaging with the concepts of movement (action) and stillness (inertia), applied to the realms of knowledge and artistic creation.

Art
Andy Picci’s artistic practice delves into the construction of identity and explores how personal and collective identities are shaped, questioning the boundaries between the personal and the collective. Through a range of mediums – sculpture, digital renderings, and immersive installations – Picci aims to create thought-provoking experiences that encourage introspection and invite viewers to engage with abstract concepts on an emotional level.
Inès Mélia works across sculpture, painting, photography and music. She often weaves abstraction, literature, and poetry into her work, infusing it with a distinctly surrealist perspective.
Katerina Jebb‘s multidisciplinary practice spans scenography, photomontage, language, and video. She has created a unique technique whereby she uses domestic scanning machines to document objects, assembling multiple digital files to produce faithful renditions of the originals. Her work Language comprises 116 framed scenographic photographs that explore the length, rhythm, and meaning of words. Through this linguistic exercise, Jebb constructs a poetic meta-language that navigates the interplay between image and text, evoking Roland Barthes. Each word serves as a gateway to an imagined universe. Presented as titles, these short exercises in language resemble surrealist messages found in cadavre exquis.
PZ has collaborated on a range of art and fashion projects with renowned names such as Helmut Lang, VETEMENTS, Marc Jacobs, Doublet, Vaquera, and Virgil Abloh. Her work has been exhibited at prominent venues such as the Trading Museum in Paris, Gentle Monster in Korea, and Dover Street Market locations globally.
Handled with Care is an installation space with a large box filled with a soft fabric giving the audience the new experience of entering through the box before discovering all the surprise objects inside.
Stone Acoustics will play a themed music curation by artists Inès Mélia, Andy Picci and Arthur King, providing the perfect background to the event.
