Hot on the heals of Minor Attraction the hotel art fair that acted as an alternative to Frieze London comes the news that The Hotel Chelsea & Platform have launched the first Chelsea Art Fair, which will take place in the historic Hotel Chelsea this Saturday, November 23rd, 2024.
Featuring five of the country’s most exciting contemporary art galleries, selected and invited by
Platform: 56 Henry (New York), CASTLE (Los Angeles), Lomex (New York), Matthew Brown (Los
Angeles and New York), and Ramiken (New York).
The Chelsea Art Fair is free and open to the public from 11AM–6PM. Its format is meant to make the fair-going experience fun and approachable — just five booths presented inside the hotel’s main event space, The Bard Room, with direct access from the street and into the hotel’s popular Lobby Bar. With neither exhibitor fees nor a cost to attend, the fair provides a new, accessible spotlight for the next generation of leading artists and galleries.
