Philip Colbert continues his love affair with Rome with an AS Roma collaboration.

Philip Colbert has collaborated with AS Roma on a clothing capsule featuring two T-shirts, a hoodie and a small edition sculpture showcasing Colbert’s iconic lobster in a Roma jersey all now available at AS Roma’s Stores. In addition to this, Colbert will unveil a new Roma steel sculpture in the hospitality areas at the Stadio Olimpico.

AS Roma sits at the intersection of sport, art, music, food and fashion. Football connects the world. Rome, the ancient city of the world and the capital of antiquity, is, for me, the quintessential city of art. Following my artistic takeover of the city last year, I really felt my Lobster Persona had found its home – a guardian at the ancient Roman entrance where all time converges. I find the idea of showcasing my work on this dynamic stage with AS Roma incredibly inspiring.

Following Colbert’s unprecedented outdoor sculpture trail of twelve sculptures along the Via Veneto and the entrance of Villa Borghese, Colbert reintroduces his iconic character, the lobster, described as “a contemporary cartoon protagonist of surrealism” to the Italian capital. The symbol of his distinctive works will proudly don the Roma colors, welcoming fans to Stadio Olimpico, where the emotions of AS Roma truly come alive.

There’s a reason Rome is called the open-air museum and one of the most visited cities in the world. This collaboration underscores our commitment to the ingredients that make Rome so welcoming to fans of art and culture everywhere

The jerseys worn by the first team in the match against Udinese will also bear Colbert’s unique touch, featuring an exclusive squad number design by the artist, rendering the kits truly unique.

Fans of AS Roma can acquire this special edition with the shirt numbers of LukakuDybalaPellegrini, and El Shaarawy on match day at Stadio Olimpico, available at the AS Roma Store in Viale delle Olimpiadi and the Trailer Store (Tribuna Tevere side). Following the match, this unique design will also be available for purchase at the AS Roma Store in Via del Corso or through the AS Roma Official Online Store.

Colbert’s return to Rome also presented the opportunity for the artist to share his work with the students of Liceo Artistico Enzo Rossi, where he gave a lesson on the Ancient Roman vases that inspired his work. Under his guidance, students created ten terracotta vases, which will also be showcased in the hospitality areas at Stadio Olimpico alongside Colbert’s original artwork.
