Kettle’s Yard has announced the appointment of Inga Fraser to the post of Senior Curator, House & Collection at Kettle’s Yard.
We are so pleased to be welcoming Inga Fraser to Kettle’s Yard. She brings with her a wealth of curatorial expertise to enable her to both manage the Kettle’s Yard house, collection and archive, and develop its future programme of activities in exciting ways.

This new role is responsible for the care, conservation and development of the Kettle’s Yard house, collection and archive. Inga will instigate new research, publications, events, displays and exhibitions that illuminate the house and collection, prioritising under-researched histories and perspectives. In this role she will also support teaching and learning: engaging and inspiring students, children and young people, communities and visitors. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Inga will work with colleagues to achieve a set of ambitions leading to Kettle’s Yard’s 70th anniversary in 2027.
Inga moves to Kettle’s Yard from English Heritage, where she was the Curator of Collections and Interiors. She has also held Assistant Curator positions at Tate and the National Portrait Gallery, and most recently is assisting with the Tate Britain exhibition Women in Revolt! Art and Activism in the UK, 1970-1990. Inga has also been an Associate Lecturer at The Courtauld Institute of Art, and her research has been widely published. Her roles in academia and museums and galleries have focused on connecting twentieth-century British art and its broader international and disciplinary contexts, especially artists’ experimental practices, and networks of patronage and exhibitions.
Inga will take up the post in November 2023.

The Kettle’s Yard house is an inspirational and important part of the history of modern art in Britain. The opportunity to develop new research and engagement projects that unfurl from this unique context is a privilege.
