Art and music are in constant dialogue. Artworks, artefacts, songs and soundscapes are the language of an exchange of ideas between their creators. The Sound & Vision Drawing Club, a weekly online workshop co-produced by Rise Art and Royal Museums Greenwich, invites its audience to join this exchange. At a time when galleries are closed and concerts cancelled, it offers a new and meaningful way to engage creatively with art and music.
Each week Rise will invite guests to share an artwork and a short selection of songs with their audience, who are given the length of the playlist to creatively respond – by drawing, painting, collaging, writing or using another medium – to the stimuli provided.
Their third season begins tonight Wednesday the 3rd of February. For five consecutive weeks Rise will host sessions with themes including Disobedience, Exposure and What’s Right with Art? and The Future.
Wednesdays 7 – 8.30pm 3rd February – 3rd March Special guests including Derek Boshier, Antony Micallef, Bob and Roberta Smith, Peter Adajaye and FAD’s very own Tabish Khan the @londonartcritic.
