The centrepiece of this exhibition is the influential and multifaceted German artist’s new and immersive environment of what appears to be the interior of a plane. Expanding on the themes of travel through these elements of an aircraft cabin, and using the window as a juncture between interior and exterior spaces – in this case making them look back, observing the viewer and turning the voyeur into the view. link

From the VRchives – To mark the opening of the gallery’s second Upper East Side space in New York one year ago, gallery founder Per Skarstedt celebrated the old and the new with an exhibition of works by more than twenty artists spanning three generations and including Bacon, Baselitz, Condo, de Kooning, Fischl, Haring, KAWS, Kippenberger, Kruger, Muñoz, Oehlen, Prince, Salle, Sherman, Trockel, Warhol, and Wool. link
