BLOOMIN’ REALITY is a bold pop-up show taking place in the heart of London for just three days this Christmas, bringing together some of the hottest urban artists on the scene right now.
BLOOMIN’ REALITY is an attempt to dispel a world of seemingly endless negativity through colour, lightheartedness and in many cases pure smile-inducing jest. This is an exhibition of works from artists that have been selected for their light-hearted yet exacting commentary on modern reality, as well as the vibrant aesthetic qualities in their work that allows for broad appreciation quite apart from the academizing often imposed by looking too deeply into the historical, social, political and economic
values of an artwork. In times like these when everything may seem gloomy and everyone is consumed by the
strains of everyday life, BLOOMIN’ REALITY leaves us to wonder: “When was the last time we just stopped and
smelled the roses?

BLOOMIN’ REALITY features six artists working in a variety of diverse materials, from Lauren Baker’s mesmerising neons to Tommy Gurr’s decommissioned road sign stencils. Celebrated urban artist Catman presents recent spray paint works on used skateboards and Robin Coleman will exhibit several of his signature mixed media pieces. Shuby’s colourful hand-painted and silk screen printed works will be on show as well as brand new works created in London by popular Lebanese artist Jules Bakhos.

Each of the artists has been selected for their light-hearted yet exacting commentary on modern reality, as well as the vibrant aesthetic qualities in their work that allows for broad appreciation quite apart from the academizing often imposed by looking too deeply into the art historical, social, political and economic values of a work. The world today needs positivity and the word blooming reflects just that.
