KAWS recently posted Instagram photos of his new massive SMALL LIE Companion sculpture being installed at the Hamad International Airport in Qatar.
Made in collaboration with Qatar Museums, the large-scale figure is approximately 30-feet-tall and constructed out of African hardwood; the same size and material to create his previous SMALL LIE figure at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in England back in 2016. The only difference between the two sculptures is their bodies. The Qatar version boasts a stylized, Pinocchio-esque frame while the Yorkshire iteration is conceived in a more simpler form.
