Designing the Hijab of the Future, Now.

Veil is a startup that has designed a climate adaptable hijab for Muslim women.
The Hijab uses advanced textiles, which include water repelling and cooling technology (the fabric reflects up to 80 percent of heat rays to keep the fabric up to 7-10 °F cooler). Structurally, Veil is made of a textile that is also laser cut, breathable and stain and water resistant.

Veil-Startup

The problem Veil identified is that although we are seeing increased textile sophistication in athletics and fashion, we have yet to see a serious attempt at evolving the hijab from a materials and technological standpoint.

The Veil’s rainproof technology means water literally rolls off of the fabric instead of being absorbed.
